LUMA Creations’ will be traveling to five venues in the Liverpool City Region as part of La FERIA’s community tour. With an exciting group of artists including the Luma Trio (Chile & UK), Magaly Flores (of Colibri Mexican Folklore Dance), Valeria Cazas (Bolivia) and Freddy Perez (Costa Rica). The community tour allows us to reach out to different communities across the region and give them the chance to experience Latin American culture in their own spaces.
The events will include dance performances from Mexico & Bolivia, live Latin American music and a chance for people to have a go at a number of Latin dances, join in with the live music and experience Latin American food.
This year we will be visiting: The Chinese Community in the Pagoda Centre, A Latin American community programme and a Young people with special challenges through a collaboration with the Belvedere Community Centre in Wallasey, a wonderful community programme in Fazakerley, Young people and their families in Prescot through our partnership with Imaginarium Theatre and the communities of Toxteth at John Archer Hall.
